Criminal Law

Whether you are facing criminal charges for a misdemeanor or a felony, your freedom may be at risk. Additionally, some of your rights, including the right to own a firearm, and your right to vote are at risk. At Pease & Associates Law Firm we can help you navigate the criminal justice system.

Criminal Charges in Texas Demand an Aggressive Response

Even when you are facing a seemingly minor first-time DWI charge, you want to work with an aggressive criminal defense attorney. You may think that missing several cues on a field sobriety test or failing Breathalyzer means you are facing a certain conviction. However, this, is not always the case. There are many factors that come in to play within each criminal case, and no case is ever identical to another.

Never enter a plea of guilty without first consulting with an experienced lawyer who truly knows what he is doing and truly cares about you and your case. At Pease & Associates Law Firm, Mr. Pease, has handled hundreds of cases and is extremely passionate about people’s freedom. He truly believes in helping those who are facing the State of Texas due to false allegations made by another or helping those he feels are being charged unfairly for the crimes the allegedly committed.

When facing a criminal charge, you shouldn’t feel like you are alone. At Pease & Associates Law Firm we are with you from the beginning of your case until the end of your case, and we will guide you step-by-step. During our preliminary look at your case, we look at everything against you and thoroughly examine all evidence for deficiencies or technicalities that may get your case dismissed. We also look for any other alternative ways to get your case dismissed, whether it is by participating in a program or taking classes.

If this is not an option in your case, Mr. Pease will discuss going to trial based on the evidence against you. At that point, we look at the possible range of punishment you may be facing and we put together a plan on how to minimize your punishment or potentially reduce your charges.

As a previous adult probation officer, Mr. Pease has the knowledge and experience in creating some of the best plea recommendations available. He is well versed with probation and all the terms and conditions available to you, making him very successful in negotiating probation as an option in your case.

Bond Reduction

If criminal charges have been filed, you may have the right to seek for a bond reduction. We understand not everyone can afford the bonds imposed by the courts. At Pease & Associates Law Firm we are prepared to help you in filing and arguing for a bond reduction, so you may be free until the charges against you are resolved. There are several options for bond reductions that are available through the courts. We may request for a lower surety bond allowing you to pay less money, or we can request for a personal recognize (PR) bond allowing you to be released by signing and abiding with certain terms and conditions imposed by the court throughout the pendency of your case. Otherwise, if the bond is extremely high, we may request a split bond entailing both a lower surety bond mixed with a PR bond component.
